Greetings, Admirals.
I am Ja-ram Jeon, Game Director of Gunship Battle Total Warfare.
In this September Developer Note, we’d like to introduce a long-awaited new feature
that allows you to charge into battle with your Alliance alongside Allied Alliances.
In addition, we’ll be covering Module improvements and quality-of-life updates designed to reduce
the grind of redundant tasks that detract from impactful gameplay, making your gameplay contributions count.
1. Tactical Academy
Despite many Admirals wanting to see how they stack up in battle against their Alliance members,
battles within the same Alliance have not been possible… until now.
To make this possible, we’ve prepared Tactical Academy,
a new PvP feature where Alliance members and members of Allied Alliances can face off in friendly team matches.
Tactical Academy can be established in place of an Alliance Base Lv. 5 or above.
To join the training exercise, deploy your Aircraft Carrier to the designated area and select a team.
Members of the same team can support each other in defense or launch rallies to attack and battle against the opposing team.
[Team Selection UI]
We hope Tactical Academy becomes a place where you can go beyond simply comparing
Combat Power and see how different Fleet formations and support strategies can change the outcome of a battle
all while enjoying friendly matches with your Alliance members.
Combat rules and outcomes are applied differently in Tactical Academy than regular PvP battles.
- Battle Points are not
consumed, and Kill Points cannot be obtained.
- You cannot plunder Resources.
- Battle damage is
reduced by 90%. However, repairs will still be required, consuming time and resources to restore the damage.
- Training battles do
not count toward Quest or Event participation.
- If your Aircraft
Carrier moves outside the Tactical Academy or returns to your Base, you will be removed from your selected Team.
Your feedback will be very important in helping the team refine the Tactical Academy experience.
So be sure to give it a try and let us know what you think!
2. Air Support Module
The Air Support Module will allow you to strengthen your Jets through Aircraft Carrier Module upgrade.
Air Support Module
upgrade can be done through the Module Upgrade found in the Aircraft Carrier
Port.
You can check the buffs applicable for each Aircraft Carrier in the Air Support Module tab, which will be added to the existing Module Upgrade screen.
[Aircraft Carrier Module UI]
The Air Support Module is divided into Common and Exclusive Buffs.
A guide on the effect application will be provided on the help feature on the upgrade screen.
Air Support Module upgrades can be performed using the Carrier Modules as well as Jet Blueprints.
This is meant to expand the usage of unused Jet Blueprints in a way that will
help players grow stronger.
However, upon a successful effect reset, materials will be returned as items exclusive to Module Upgrade even if Jet Blueprints were used.
We will provide a separate guide on this to ensure that there is no confusion when selecting materials or performing a reset.
3. Hero Limit Break Continuous Training
We want to reduce the massive inconvenience of repeatedly pressing the same button and waiting
for the animation to conclude with Hero Limit Break Training attempt.
A Continuous Training feature will be added to the training screen,
allowing you to set a target
level so that training continues automatically until that level is reached.
[Target Level UI]
During Continuous Training, you can check the number of attempts,
results of each training attempt, and when Training Expertise was triggered.
Repeated animations will also be displayed faster than before.
Training ends
automatically when the target level is reached or the selected materials are depleted.
You can stop Continuous
Training by pressing the stop button while it is in progress.
After it ends, you can
check the Limit Break level reached and the essential materials consumed on the
results screen.
We hope this update will help reduce the tedious work and increase convenience of checking training progress.
4. CSG Reserves Preset Improvements
To reduce the inconvenience of having to set up your CSG Reserves preset again whenever your target or objective changes,
we are preparing a feature that allows you to save
and switch between multiple unit presets based on situation.
[Preset UI]
Create Presets for different battle situations in advance,
so you can quickly switch between them and deploy the Fleet formation best suited to each situation
- You can rename Presets as needed.
- You can copy a saved
formation to another slot and change only part of it.
- You can reset the
selected formation and its name.
- You can switch groups
on the deployment screen, and the group you deployed previously will be
displayed first.
We hope you use this
feature to command your forces quickly and strategically according to various
battle situations.
5. Departure & Destination Shortcut
If the departure point or destination of an Aircraft Carrier or fleet on the sea was offscreen,
players had to manually move the map to check the path.
To reduce the inconvenience,
we will add a feature that lets you select a movement path on the field and move the screen directly to the departure point or destination.
[Quick Move Ring Menu &
UI]
This improvement will help check the movement path of your Fleet and Units along with those of other Admirals.
This update introduces a new battle experience while reducing repetitive actions involved in battle preparation
and Hero upgrades, based on valuable feedback from our Admirals.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
We’ll continue listening to your suggestions as we work to improve the gameplay experience.
