Greetings, Admirals.
This is the Lead Producer of Gunship Battle Total Warfare, Ja-ram Jeon.
In this Developer Note, we would like to share an update on our ongoing optimization efforts, along with recent quality-of-life improvements,
news regarding the Tournament Evaluation Matches, and the upcoming Event Blitz Defense.
[Optimization Progress Update]
Recently, many Admirals have reported performance and latency issues that they experienced during gameplay.
Our team has set resolving this issue as a top priority and we will continue to work on applying the system optimization needed to reduce the lag. Earlier this year we ran into unexpected issues during large-scale optimization. So, we are working on applying further updates with a careful approach to ensure that similar issues do not arise.
That said, we are still seeing frequent lag spikes during ASG engagements, we’ve confirmed that this occurs most often when a large number of Jets and Ships are displayed simultaneously on the field. To mitigate this, we plan to reduce combat-related load by adjusting the ASG encounter so players are no longer directly attacked by the ASG.
We will continue to closely review additional optimization points and do our utmost to ensure that Admirals can enjoy battles in a smoother and more comfortable environment.
[Item Usage Improvements]
Previously, the number of Random Boxes that Admirals couple open at one time was limited to a maximum of 1,000.
This was done to avoid server overload.
However, as the overall volume of items obtainable in-game has increased,
many Admirals have shared their feedback on the inconvenience of having the limit.
In response, we have significantly increased the open-limit for Random Boxes, from 1,000 to up to 1,000,000 per use.
By updating to the latest version, you can now open substantially larger quantities at once.
However, please note that using very large quantities at once may result in longer processing times.
We kindly ask for your understanding and recommend adjusting how many boxes you open accordingly.
[Tournament Evaluation Match]
The Evaluation Match was organized in response to player feedback that the ongoing World League Season 1 feels overly drawn out due to its four-week cycle.
Notably, this Evaluation Match recorded the largest battle scale of any World War match held to date!
■ World War Battle Scale Trends
Its scale exceeded the expectations of our team and once again demonstrated how passionate our Admirals are for larger-scale battles and intense competition.
The second Tournament Evaluation Match is scheduled for December 27.
This will be the final World War of 2025; we hope to bring this year to a close with the most exciting, fiercest battle to date!
[Event Blitz Defense]
The Event Blitz Defense, which was previously announced in our last Developer Note, is scheduled to begin on December 24.
After the Developer Note was released, we received feedback expressing concerns about the potential gameplay burden.
In response, Event Blitz Defense will have a longer detection cooldown than standard Blitz Defense,
this adjustment will help reduce the pressure of daily participation.
While the number of waves will be higher than the regular Blitz Defense,
adjustments to movement speed and overall balance are being made so that gameplay progresses faster when compared to the standard mode.
Additionally, we are preparing a separate event that will grant rewards based on the number of waves successfully cleared in Event Blitz Defense. Further details will be shared in a future announcement.
We sincerely thank you for all the valuable suggestions and feedback, it allows us to create a clear roadmap towards achieving our goal of delivering a more stable and enjoyable gameplay experience.
