Greeting, Admirals!
After receiving some great feedback and
suggestions from our Admirals regarding the recent update, we are happy to
inform our Admirals about some improvements we’ll be applying to number of
features.
[Armada Strike Group Reward]
Previously, [Armada Strike Group] Rewards were
distributed to Admirals based on the outcome of the individual Contribution
Ranking. As mentioned in the previous Dev Note, we noticed that the Reward
distribution system left a lot to be desired for those other than the
top-ranked players, especially for those in larger Alliances. This discouraged some
Admirals from participating, and this is in addition to the fact that Admirals
had concerns about the corresponding rewards not being enticing enough to
encourage participation.
One of the main priorities of our recent series
of updates was to provide an environment where Admirals would be encouraged to proactively
play together with their Alliance members. That said, we made improvements to the
ASG Reward structure, in hopes to satisfy ASG Fans and increase the number of
participants. Specifically, we wanted to motivate Admirals to take on higher
ASG levels by changing the distribution of the Individual Damage Rewards based
on the total damage dealt (ranked by Grade). Actively participating Alliance members
would then receive Rewards based on their individual, accumulated damage total.
Since the update was implemented, we have
continuously monitored the in-game data. However, we have confirmed that lower-level
Admirals were not receiving rewards that’d properly reflect their individual contributions;
this is specifically counter to what we had intended.
To offset this situation, and to better
compensate those active participants, we will adjust the difficulty of ASG and
increase the number of Rewards allotted. The following improvements will be
implemented via the upcoming Weekly Maintenance on 3/28 PDT (3/29 UTC).
With these improvements, Admirals will now be
able to obtain higher Rank rewards, and the number of attainable [Advanced Ship
Blueprint] items will be increased as well.
[Adjustment of Return-Rate for [Advanced
Ship Blueprint] on [Ship XP Transfer]]
We had originally designed the development strategy
for the [Ship XP Transfer] with the intent to make it easier for Admirals to convert
lower Tier Ships into higher Tier Ships when compared to the previous [Tier-Up
System].
However, utilizing the data extrapolated from
both broad-form backend in-game data analysis and consistent feedback from our
Admirals, we have established that the use of the [Ship XP Transfer] system was
far more commonly used to upgrade Normal Ships, but the system was not used as
often on Advanced Ships.
It is our belief that this is due to the
insufficient return rate of [Advanced Ship Blueprints] when Advanced Ships are
used as materials for the [Ship XP Transfer] system; eventually leaving our
Admirals to carry the burden of Ship advancement or progress.
That said, we are planning to improve the
[Ship XP Transfer System] to alleviate this burden. Instead of the current,
partial return amount, we’ll be encouraging Admirals to use Advanced Ships by
providing a 100% return of [Advanced Ship Blueprints],

After this adjustment is applied, we will be sending
the difference [Advanced Ship Blueprints] to Admirals who have already utilized
Advanced ships for the [Ship XP Transfer] via in-game mailbox, to compensate
for and reflect the improved 100% return rate.

We want to emphasize that we are doing our
absolute best to prepare and execute the improvements in a manner that truly
encompasses the intended design and provide the best gaming experience possible
