Greetings, Admirals!

In this Dev Note, we’ve prepared detailed information on a number of exciting topics, including Armada Strike Group, Ship Tier Up System and more!

[Alliance Cooperation & Activities]

Let’s start with our improvement plans for the Armada Strike Group Rewards.

The Armada Strike Group, as an encounter, was specifically designed to encourage our Admirals to actively cooperate with their Alliance members to take on challenging content with progressively higher difficulty. And in the end, collectively, growing together.

Intent aside, we noticed that the Reward distribution system left a lot to be desired for those other than the top-ranked players. This discouraged more players from participating and was not enticing enough to encourage participation to the extent we originally intended. In short, the Rewards being distributed based on the individual Contribution Ranking wasn’t enough.

That said, we decided to revamp the rewards for the Armada Strike Group content to better encourage participation and corresponding rewards.

1. The previously designated ‘Success Rewards’ will be changed to [Alliance Clear Time] Rewards.

Once applied, participating* Admirals will obtain Alliance Rewards depending on the respective ASG clear time. The faster your Alliance clears an ASG encounter, the more rewards the participating Alliance members will obtain.

* Rewards will be distributed only to the Admirals who successfully attack the ASG at least 3 times.

2. The previously designated ‘Contribution Reward’ will be changed to [Individual Damage] Reward.

These [Individual Damage] Rewards will be decided based on the accumulated damage done to the ASG by Grades, and Alliance members will receive the Rewards based on their individual, accumulated damage total.

※ [Individual Damage] Rewards will vary depending on the ASG level

As ASG was initially designed with the intent that Admirals were to progress collectively rather than compete against one another, we hope that applying these ASG Reward process improvements, based on individual contributions will satisfy ASG fans and increase the number of participants.

In addition, we are aware that executing Air Strikes on ASG can be time consuming, as Admirals must do so through the Launch Formation page prior to Jet deployment. That said, we are preparing additional improvements with this feature in mind, effectively streamlining overall ASG participation.

[Other Improvements and Addition of New, Fun Elements for ASG]

1. Instead of having to manually choose Air Strike Launch Formations during an ASG encounter, you will now be able to immediately deploy Jets in the order of their [Specialty ATK] from your Aircraft Carrier.

 - A new tab, which allows you to deploy the Jets in order of their Specialty ATK from the Aircraft Carrier, will be added.

2. [Bonus Time], which will appear when you successfully defeat an ASG, will be available.

- Additional Air Strikes will be allowed for a certain period of time.

[New Version of Island Exploration]

Since we last announced our plans for the Island Exploration (Beta) feature, we have received lots of feedback from our Admirals.

The team has discussed the feedback received, especially regarding the conclusion of this content, and have decided to revamp Island Exploration and release it in an official capacity. This will be done after we complete application of current feature developments. For the time being, Island Exploration will be temporarily suspended.

We will announce the details of the official version soon, so please stay tuned!

[Improvement on Blitz Defense]

Back in the February Development Note, we’d mentioned that we are going to make improvements to Blitz Defense as well.

Prior to the adjustment, the amount of ‘Ship XP Bonus’ Admirals received during a Blitz Defense encounter was calculated based on the total number of Admirals participating. After applying our proposed improvements, the amount of Bonus Ship XP will be calculated based on the total number of your participating Ships, not the number of participating Admirals.

[Addition of the New Ship XP Transfer System]

Last, but not least, we want to go over the details regarding the changes that will be applied to the Ship Tier Up System.

After mentioning the change to the [Ship Tier Up] system in our last Development Note, many Admirals provided feedback expressing their concerns along with voicing their curiosity as to how the system will be changed.

The team has been mulling over the details at length, discussing the [Ship XP Transfer System], formerly introduced as the [Ship Succession System], and the outcome was presented in the February Development Note. This early-stage approach to content adjustment, though new to us, is being done to ensure that we both make sure that we follow a path that will satisfy our Admirals and maintain content design integrity.

The new [Ship XP Transfer System] will allow lower tier Ships to pass on their existing XP to a higher tier Ship.

※ This feature will be unlocked from Shipyard Lv.10.

Additionally, if you want to use transfer system on Ships that have successfully had Limit Break Stage 2 applied, use of the Ship XP Transfer System will provide [Star Fragment (*tentative name)].

The [Ship XP Transfer System] can only be done once per Ship and is restricted to Ships of the same Ship type (Normal/Advanced).

※ Normal Ships will be used as the required material for a Normal Ship XP Transfer. Thus, Advanced Ships will be the required material for Advanced Ship XP Transfer.

In addition, to alleviate some of the burden Admirals' have had regarding the previous system, we plan to reimburse some of the items associated, such as [Advanced Ship Blueprint - Tier 1~3], which were used to produce Advanced Ships, used as material for the transfer.

[Acquisition and Usage of the New Item [Star Fragment]]

Along with the [Ship XP Transfer System], the newly introduced [Star Fragment] can be used as a material for Ship XP Transfer System and can be obtained via the [Decommission] and [Collection System] features.

Obtained [Star Fragment]s can be equipped on existing Ships to gain a Limit Break Stage 2 Bonus Buff via the [Star System (*tentative Name)].

The [Star System] can only be used on specific Ship types and tiers. This will depend on the [Star Fragment] item types used.

Please refer to the chart below.

The [Star Fragment] items can be converted into a higher-level [Star Fragment] items, and the Stars that can be obtained from the [Star System] will become available depending on the Limit Break Stage of the corresponding Ship.

The bonus buff can be obtained if a Limit Break Stage 2 is successfully achieved while possessing a [Star].
Likewise, we are striving to ensure that efforts invested in Ship growth can be passed on to higher tier Ships.

Well, that about sums up this month’s Dev Note. We’ve covered a lot of ground regarding our upcoming feature improvement plans for the ASG, Blitz, Ship XP Transfer System, and details regarding Star Fragments and the Star System.

Although the update schedule was slightly delayed, we want to emphasize that we are doing our best to prepare and execute the improvements in a manner that truly encompasses the intended design and provide the best gaming experience possible for our Admirals.

Please continue to send us any feedback or suggestions, anytime. Your feedback helps us make Gunship Battle: Total Warfare the best it can be.

We ask for your continued love and support for Gunship Battle: Total Warfare.

Thank you.
