In this Dev Note, we would like to introduce our plans for the Ship Tier Up System.
The Ship Tier Up System has been added and designed to encourage our Admirals to utilize their lower-tiered Ships by converting them into higher-tier Ships rather than having them take up space or serving no other purpose beyond Decommissioning.
However, the higher you tier up, the more time and resources are required along with high-valued Energy Core Reactor items, so the burden on our Admirals to Tier-Up Ships appears to be greater than expected.
That said, we have decided to make improvements to the Ship Tier Up System; specifically, to lessen the burden on our Admirals as you all progress through this system.
[New Ship Succession System]
The process of the current Ship Tier Up System is quite cumbersome and requires a lot of time and resources, especially if you are starting with a low-tier Ship.
During the March Update, we plan to replace the current Ship Tier Up System with a Ship Succession System, which allows Ships to pass on their existing XP, so that our Admirals can not only save time, but reap the rewards of a more efficient system.
If you succeed in upgrading your Ship to a higher tier, the old Ship will disappear, but the previous XP will be passed on to the new, higher-tiered Ship.
If an Advanced Ship is used, a certain portion of Ship Blueprints used will be reimbursed.
Unlike Tier-Up, Succession will not require additional resources, and will be available for all “normal” Ships, regardless of type.
However, Succession will not apply towards Ship Limit Break levels. Instead, the corresponding Ship XP or the 1st Class Adv Blueprints will be reimbursed to ease the burden here.
[Ship Star Succession]
What happens when you want to use Succession on the Ships that have successfully used Limit Break Stage 2 and received a Star rating?
We are aware that the Star rating of a Ship, which can be obtained only from the Limit Break Stage 2, can be considered as a huge barrier blocking the growth of our Admirals.
In this case, we would like to make improvements to the Ship Star System in addition to the Ship Succession System.
When a Ship with a [Star] disappears due to Succession, Limit-Break Material, Decommission, or Registration in Collection, an applicable amount of [Star Fragment (*tentative name)] items will be provided as reimbursement.
You can transfer these Stars to another Ship when you collect a certain number of the [Star Fragment].
The number of [Star Fragment] required for [Succession] will differ depending on the Ship Tier, and the required Limit Break Stage must be met.
We are doing our absolute best to improve the game so that the efforts invested into Ship growth can be passed on to higher tier Ships and the hard-earned Stars can be easier transferred.
Our team will continue to discuss and review the details of the [Ship Succession System] in a direction that our Admirals will be satisfied.
