Hello, Admirals!

In our previous Development Note, we shared information on the Honor Collection System and the World Ranking.

We would like to take the time to answer some of the questions sent by our dedicated Admirals and inform you about the plans currently being prepared by the Gunship Battle: Total War development team.

■ World Boss Rewards 

When the World Boss content was first introduced, understandably, the BETA version went through a number of refinement and tweaks applied for stability and functional issues. That said, to reward players for assisting us throughout the process, we’d temporarily set the World Boss reward amounts to be higher, accommodating for any issues associated with the World Boss BETA. 

As the official, post-BETA content was finalized, the rewards were adjusted to reflect the intended scope of the content. 

However, we do understand, and we’ve heard your concerns and the disappointment with the reduced rewards. 

We are currently in the process of considering a readjustment, the appropriate reward level, without adversely affecting the game/content reward balance. 

Once confirmed, we will communicate any and all updates with our Admirals.

■ Legendary Equipment: Crafting and Upgrade Cost

We will be having an equipment-related event (July 20 PDT / July 21 UTC) to reduce the burden of the cost for Upgrading or Crafting Legendary Equipment.

We also intend to improve the balance of Legendary Equipment acquisition to enhance the game experience for everyone.

■ The Upgrade Chance Rate.

Many admirals have provided feedback on the Jet Upgrade Plus’s shortcomings, and we are planning on improving this system. 

The Jet Upgrade Chance Up Event is currently available, and we will continue to come up with better improvement measures as well as related events in the future. 

Additionally, we intend to hold an Upgrade Core Event once a month, as this was favored by many Admirals.

■ The Event Schedule Cycle

Many Admirals have indicated that they would like to see Ship XP Event and Jet Core Event on a regular basis. We are in the process of hosting these regularly scheduled events starting in August.  

■ Improvement of Server Transfer Restrictions

Previously, Server Transfers were hampered due to a policy made to prevent server saturation, based on Admiral level.

We are preparing a more reasonable Server Transfer policy so that the original Combat Power is reflected in the process of transitioning, even if the Combat Power is arbitrarily lowered, to present fairness. 

■ Changes to the Starting Hour of the World War

Many admirals also provided feedback on the inconvenience of the starting time for some areas due to different time zones around the world. 

The method currently under consideration is alternating the starting time every 12 hours, changing the starting time every two weeks. We will notify you via the Notice Board once we confirm the schedule. 

■ Added Top-Level Content

We also heard feedback regarding the lack of higher level PVE content; challenging players beyond the current Lv. 40 Armada Fleet. We plan to add new Alliance centered Armada content this September and higher-level Armada Fleet in the fourth quarter of this year. 

■ Expansion of World War Tournament Participation

We also heard concerns from a number of Admirals about being unable to participate in the World War Tournament due to level restrictions. With this in mind, we tried to increase the ability for participation for our Admirals with the tiered competition levels so that more admirals can enjoy World War Tournament and experience the accomplishments received from it. 

Starting this year, we’d made some changes in the World War Tournament where we separated and expanded the room for participants, as we divided into A/B/C groups. This will continue to evolve and expand as we move forward.

After Tournament 4, we intend to improve the tournament rules and expand the participating servers and groups to allow more Admirals to participate.

Our goal is to develop content that everyone can enjoy without feeling as limited by their level or rank. 

■ Burden of Product Pricing

Products sold in the Shop are generally priced by taking the balance and value into explicit consideration. However, we did receive feedback from our Admirals that some items, or more specifically, their respective packages, are too expensive. Some of the items that were mentioned by our Admirals have been reviewed, their respective priced adjusted, or the price has been offset with discount coupons. 

Also, the price of the package that has [Admiral’s Dog Tag] has changed. 

We will continue to review the pricing of the Admiral's Dog Tag item, keeping your feedback in consideration.

■ Battle Pass Rewards

The rewards obtainable from the Battle Pass have changed each season to balance out, resulting in some adjustments of the quantity of Ship Blueprints available. We are continuously monitoring what would be best, and we’re willing to hear any feedback on this to provide a better game play experience. 

We will continue to keep our ears open for feedback from our players and improve the game. 

It would be hard to make big changes all at once, but we will try to make smaller, continuously progressive changes and improvements as we go… to provide the best game experience for everyone.

We are genuinely sorry for any frustration, the obstacles and hurdles that have arisen over the years. We’ve had great updates and some not so great. However, we sincerely appreciate every one of you Admirals, your feedback, dedication, and the love you all show for Gunship Battle: Total Warfare.
